WHO; RAY! & ALEX!
WHAT; Uncle alex to the rescue? Only not.
WHEN; After the meeting.
WHERE; Ray's room.

RAY! Rachel's been rather quiet the past few days. She's still keeping to herself, and trying to work through some issues in the mansion and whatnot. When news came of the missing X-Men, her mom amongst them, naturally she's upset. God, it's like nothing good has come from life at all, lately. Sigh. Rachel's resting with her face imbedded in her pillow.

ALEX! "Ray?" Alex knocked on her door, just coming from the group meeting, "Rachel, it Alex, you in there?" He knew she had to be upset, and there couldn't be many people she wanted to talk to - but he thought he'd take a shot anyway.

RAY! There's an audible sigh, and Rachel's mind is doing what her eyes don't feel like doing. She scans the room, and using Alex's mind as a template, opens her door telekinetically. That's her way of saying you can come in, but noone else better.

ALEX! A little sigh of his own before he peeked in, frowning a bit as he came in, then closed the door behind him. "Hey," he came in a little closer, "how ya doin?" Dumb question, Alex.

RAY! Took the words right outta her mouth. "That's a stupid question to ask.." If it was anyone else, she might've been real ill. But she knows he's aware of this. So he shouldn't take any offense to it. "No luck contacting Mom.." She's given herself some horrible headaches from straining so hard. You'd think the damn Phoenix Force would know how to get ahold of it's former host.

ALEX! "We haven't had any luck, either," his hands stuffed in his pockets, standing by her bedside. "Can I sit?"

RAY! "Yeah.." Rachel's voice is a little louder than usual, since it's so muffled under the pillow. Finally, she sits up, wiping her eyes. "How come there's never any good in our lives anymore?"

ALEX! He sat, looking over when she sat up, "There's plenty," he said, hands resting on his legs, "just, never when we want it to be there. Funny thing, actually," only not.

RAY! "Plus I've been acting like a kid the past couple of months.." Even if things did bother her, she, of all people, should've known better how to handle situations of the sort.

ALEX! "You've got the right," sort of. "It's not an easy thing, I understand. But, we're gonna need you to be focused, you know?"

RAY! "Is that what you came to see me for?" Rachel's already considered the whole time travel thing. In fact, she's sure she can pull it off. Problem is, can her body handle the strain of time travel? Doesn't matter, as long as she can bring the others home. Even Emma. "I'm sure we're can try using me as an anchor to get them back."

ALEX! "And to see how you were doing," Alex's hand came to rest on her shoulder. Because, honestly, he didn't think Scott had come to see her yet.

RAY! Dad was a busy man. Probably more concerned with figuring out ways to get Emma back than making sure his little girl's okay. Because Scott assumes Rachel'll get her head straight. "I'll be fine, Alex." She wipes her eyes again, and smiles. Good ole uncle Alex.

ALEX! "We'll get Jean and everyone back," he nodded. "I mean, don't we always? No matter how ridiculous the plans, one of them always seems to work."

RAY! "So far." Rachel nods her head. "I'm guessing Hank or Forge have come up with some kinda silly machine, too?" Rachel's not a fan of machinery, really. Too many bad experiences in her past lives.

ALEX! "I think Hank's tinkering with some stuff. He's talked to Forge about it," nod. "That's plan b, though. You're plan A. If you're up for it, and able to..." because that was the main problem. *Could* she do it?

RAY! "Even if I couldn't do it, the Phoenix Force can." Rachel nods rather solemnly. That's bothering her a bit, in the back of her mind. She's worked hard to control it, but what if things get out of control? It's never happened before to her, but she's not as powerful as her mom, and look what happened there. "You have to promise me one thing, however.. If I do it.."

ALEX! He looked to her, brow raised quickly as he shook his head absently, "OH, yea, sure anything. What is it?"

RAY! "If things should get bad.. If the Phoenix Force becomes too much.. All of you will do the right thing and end it quickly." Rachel couldn't handle watching that thing destroy lives and hurt the people she loves. "I mean it.. I never want to have to deal with that.. Ever."

ALEX! Alex just looked at her a moment, then sighed with a nod of his head, "If that's what you want."

RAY! "It's not that I want it, it's that I don't think any of us can deal with that during this crisis we're already dealing with." Rachel doesn't want to leave her family again. She doesn't want to die.

ALEX! His gaze moved to the floor as he continued to nod, "I got it." Now wasn't the time to tell her she was her fathers daughter, was it? Hm.

RAY! Rachel simply nodded. It made her sad all over again, but it was for a good cause. "So.. When do we do this?"

ALEX! "When you're ready," he said simply.
