The Search [Open to Warren and TJ]
After the briefing with Ororo, Kurt quickly changed into his uniform and proceeded to meet with the others just outside in the main corridor, under the stairs. He wasn't sure what time they would be going to... but just hoped that the first place they go to was the right one. Of course the chances of that happening were very slim for there was a number of endless possibilities.

As he waited for TJ and Warren to show up, he glanced down to the PTM... glancing at the buttons. Even though they were shown how to use it correctly... it still confused him quite a bit. How could such a small thing transport them through time? Letting out a nervous sigh, he glanced up to the clock on the wall wishing that TJ and Warren would hurry up. The sooner they were able to find their friends and bring them back... the better.

Warren strode into the room, his wings fluttering ever-so-slightly with a degree of nervousness. What if the PTMs didn't quite work? What if they overloaded? Exploded? There were reasons that Warren was the recon man, the spy...and not the time-hopper.

"We don't know what we could find on the other side. Here." He extended a small pistol toward Kurt. He wore one of his own on a holster underneath his arm.

Kurt blinked as he was handed a pistol and glanced up to Warren handing it back to him. "Thank you mein freund, but I prefer to use a sword. I have never used a pistol before." It was then that he pointed to the sword, currently in it's sheath, strapped to his back. It wasn't the same sword he had used during his days with Excalibur, but one of his personal ones he brought a year ago. He kept it stored away with his fencing saber just in case something came up where it would be needed. Such as, this trip back in time. "TJ might need it though... ja? I vonder vhere she is at?"

"I have yet to see a semi-automatic built for Wagner hands" TJ said to Warren as she came in, catching the last bit of their conversation "I'm here, I'm here, sorry." She was suited up in an X-uniform not entirely unlike her father's old "classic" red and black suit. Of course, there had been a few modifications... most of which required significantly less fabric than her 'real' father would have approved of.
"Like the new look by the way? I think I fill it out better" she winked at the winged mutant before diverting her attention to this dimension's version of her father "Alright, lemme warn you guys first off, that even if you're used to 'porting, time-hopping is a whole other ball game. Hope you haven't eaten lately."

Only TJ could go from friendly platonic flirting to talking about puking without stopping to take a breath.

Kurt chuckled as he listened to TJ. She did have a point... it was rather hard for the two of them to use a weapon. Aside from having only two fingers and an opposable thumb... their fingers didn't exactly fit in the trigger slot.

Even though this Kurt wasn't her real father, he couldn't help but frown a bit seeing the adjustments she made to his old uniform. However, because he wasn't her real father... he decided to keep his comment to himself. The last thing he needed was for TJ to be mad at him before they went back in time.

"I've been time hopping before, so I know vhat to expect. Anyway... vhat year should ve try first?"

"They could be anywhere," Warren said with a sigh. "The past. The future. We could be doing this for the rest of our lives." His wings drooped slightly as he pocketed the other gun, his fingers caressing the metal for a moment.

"Figures, the one time I could actually use the Timebroker's help, the bastard's nowhere to be seen" TJ said, shaking her head. "I'm starting to think there's some god of time travel that just plain hates me. Where- or when, should I say- are we off to first? Should we grab some image inducers in case we end up in the Victorian era and I need to cover my ankles?" admittedly, it wasn't just her ankles that were showing. Still, she was more covered up than Betsy usually was in that ninja thong of hers.

There was a big difference between TJ and Betsy though, that difference being that Betsy wasn't his daughter from another reality. Although not his real daughter, Kurt couldn't help but feel the need to be a bit protective of her. After all, someone had to look out for her until she could back home and who better then an alternate version of her father?

"Already grabbed them. I'm a bit nervous so I forgot I had them." He handed each of them an image inducer and then put his own on. "Ok, now that ve are set... I say ve should try ze future... maybe twenty years from now perhaps?"
